1Such requirement is provided in order to ensure that the binding ratio of internal and external anglesteelataconnectionnodeisnotlessthan75%. 2If the space between major member and web member is too large,it is disadvantageous to rigidity outside gusset plate surface; if too small,it is not convenient for construction. 3When the angle a between the gusset plate edge and the member axis is less than 15°,the gussetplate is narrow and long,disadvantageous forrigidity outsidegussetplate surface. 4The material is saved and stress eccentricity is reduced due to oversize thickness of gusset plate oy increasing rigidity of gusset plate rims (or adding stiffening plate)
